When Picture Book launched its second location at Yellow Studio in October 2022, I was thrilled to curate a selection of artist monographs, art-focused books, unique children's books and cookbooks for our spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I also got the opportunity to witness and join the beautiful community Yellow Studio founder Tina Villaveces has built.
With Yellow Studio's new ground floor space opening March 1 2023, we are ecstatic that our shop-in-residence will be moving downstairs and gaining more visibility - right in the building's main space. Your contributions to Yellow Studio’s crowd-funding campaign will help both Yellow Studio and Picture Book continue our momentum and get the space ready for upcoming author talks, book signings, a book club and more!
First and foremost, Tina Villaveces’s mission with Yellow Studio has been about building community. Yellow Studio facilitates connections amongst women through events, co-working space, exhibitions, workshops and more. Your support will help broaden their reach and offerings.
In order to make the new gallery space ready to display art, they will need to build four movable walls, purchase furniture, paint the existing walls and make a few other updates.
