Former Hastings resident Stan Mack pioneered a documentary style of cartooning with his notorious New York comic strip Stan Mack's Real Life Funnies, which ran in The Village Voice.
His book takes us on a visual thrill ride through New York in the age of graffiti, rap sessions, phone booths and self-expression the likes of which exist in no other city on earth.
Please join us at Picture Book for a book signing on Friday afternoon to meet or reconnect with the author.
